Overview
Oriol Enguany (born in 1994 in Reus, Catalonia) is a self-taught artist whose practice is deeply rooted in his rural environment. He paints outdoors, in an open-air studio surrounded by fields and animals, directly incorporating variations in light, wind, and temperature into his creative process.
His work operates within the tension between rurality and industrialisation, near the petrochemical complex of Tarragona, weaving together memory, territory, and a contemporary ecological awareness.
In 2024, his exhibition Can Coriol at the Fundació Joan Miró in Barcelona marked a major institutional recognition.
