Past exhibition
Overview
Mayoral is delighted to announce its summer group exhibition, showcasing a selection of works by post-war artists who, in their individual ways, embraced a radical approach in their creative processes: Eduardo Chillida, Jean Dubuffet, Manolo Millares, Joan Miró, Antoni Tàpies, Maria Helena Vieira da Silva, and Fernando Zóbel.
These visionary artists have left an indelible mark on the art world, pushing boundaries and challenging the conventional norms of their time. From Tàpies’ richly textured and abstract compositions to Dubuffet’s raw and instinctive art brut style, each artist in this selection brings a unique perspective and a distinctive voice. Joan Miró’s whimsical and symbolic imagery, Vieira da Silva’s intricate and labyrinthine landscapes, Millares’ powerful and emotive canvases, Chillida’s monumental and sculptural creations, and Zóbel’s fusion of Eastern and Western artistic influences further contribute to the richness and diversity of this exhibition.
