Tàpies Today

Coactively with Arnau Puig, this catalog draws parallels between different levels of interpretation of Tàpies' work, who left his mark on Spanish art and history; not only through his radical artistic approach, but also through his strong political commitment. We compare the vision of art world figures such as Michel Tapié, Roland Penrose, Yvon Taillandier and Dan Evans, who wrote about Tàpies’ work in the 1960s and 1970s, with contemporary art critics like Laura Copelin and Elise Lammer. They offer a new reading of the works exhibited in our Parisian space. The catalog includes illustrations of that thirteen works on show, which were created between 1959 and 2002. The texts are available in English, Catalan, and Spanish.
