Rivera – Millares. Ethics of Reparation

Coordinated with the exhibition curator, Carles Guerra and Alfonso de la Torre, this book opens a dialogue between Manuel Rivera and Manolo Millares, two major artists of the Spanish post-war period. Committed artists and founding members of the El Paso group, they both had a revolutionary approach to art, as illustrated by the thirteen works exhibited in our Paris gallery and showcased in the catalog, which includes studio photographs that reveal their singular ways of working with the materials that make up their works. In addition, texts written by the artists themselves, including a poem by Millares dedicated to Rivera, reveal their true and sincere friendship. The texts are translated into English, Spanish, Catalan and French.
